Light Up Your Thursday Evening with Laser Days of Summer in the Planetarium
Roper Mountain exists because of a unique partnership of public ownership, corporate sponsorship, private support, and volunteers. During the school year, 400-600 students visit Roper Mountain every day for high quality “learning labs.”
One of Roper Mountain’s most beloved reoccurring event series is the Laser Days of Summer. The Laser Days of Summer offers a dazzling display of lasers sequenced to your favorite music! Shows featured include Laser POP, Laser Beatles, Pink Floyd, Movie Madness, '90s Laser, Queen, Stranger Things, The Beatles, U2, and Led Zeppelin.
On Thursday, July 25th, the line-up includes Stranger Things at 6:00 PM, which includes popular songs from this hit TV show, featuring a small Indiana town in 1983 that was inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. At 7:30 PM, The Beatles: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is up. For 45 minutes, The Beatles’ seminal album shows audiences inside the mind of musical representation at the time and the band’s take on contemporary counterculture—and this time, it’s all done with lasers in the background.
The show wraps up with Pink Floyd: The Wall. Pink Floyd’s classic 1979 epic about personal struggle weaves its story in one of the most popular laser shows ever produced.
Tickets are $8.00 per adult or child and only $4.00 for RMSC Members. However, the show is not recommended for children ages 8 and under. Please remember that tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable, and no entry is allowed once the laser show begins. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to showtime.
Laser shows contain bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort to those with light sensitivity or other pre-existing conditions.
