Greenville: Everywhere You Want to Be
Greenville is the seat of Greenville County in upstate South Carolina. The population of the surrounding area was 400,500 as of 2010, making in the third-largest and fastest growing urban area in South Carolina. Supporting this assertion, national publications such as CNN Money have ranked Greenville as one of the “Top 10 Fastest Growing Cities in the United States” while Bloomberg named Greenville as having the third “Strongest Job Market” and Forbes deemed Greenville as the thirteenth “Best City for Young Professionals.” As the largest city in upstate South Carolina, Greenville offers many activities and attractions. Notable venues include The Warehouse Theatre, which offers productions of live theatre, and the Fluor Field at the West End, the home of the Greenville Drive baseball team. Other landmarks worth visiting are Falls Park on the Reedy, a large regional park with gardens and several waterfalls and the Greenville County Museum of Art, a museum specializing in American art. Best of all, Greenville hosts many festivals including Euphoria Greenville, an annual three-day culinary event, Fall for Greenville, a music and food street festival, and Artisphere, an art festival held each spring.
